FATF grey list (Jurisdictions under increased monitoring)
The FATF grey list is the Financial Action Task Force's list of jurisdictions under increased monitoring: countries that have committed to fix strategic AML/CFT deficiencies within agreed timeframes. It is updated after each FATF plenary, three times a year.
Why it matters for brokers and payment firms
Customers, counterparties and funding sources linked to listed countries usually carry higher risk and may need enhanced checks. Risk scores that use country lists should record which list version was applied.
