False positive
A false positive is an alert that, after review, turns out not to be suspicious. Every rule produces some; too many mean thresholds are poorly calibrated and reviewers stop reading carefully.
Why it matters for brokers and payment firms
The CBUAE expects firms to track the share of alerts closed as false positives per rule and to tune accordingly. A recorded, explainable closure reason is as important as the rate.
