Alert

An alert is the output of a monitoring rule or scenario: a signal that a customer, account or transaction met the rule's conditions and needs human review. An alert is not a suspicion; it is a prompt to check.

Why it matters for brokers and payment firms

Under the CBUAE STR guidance the 35-business-day clock starts at alert generation, so the alert date must be recorded and visible from the start.
