Bonus abuse

Bonus abuse is exploiting welcome or deposit bonuses through multiple accounts, hedged positions across linked accounts, or trading designed only to meet the volume needed to withdraw. It is mainly a fraud and commercial risk.

Why it matters for brokers and payment firms

The same device, IP and payment links that expose bonus abuse also expose laundering through linked accounts. Marqib lists bonus abuse as a roadmap typology, not a current rule.
