Integration
Integration is the final stage of money laundering: returning funds to the economy in a form that looks legitimate, such as business revenue, investment gains or property. By this point the link to the original crime is intended to be hidden.
Why it matters for brokers and payment firms
A withdrawal described as trading profit can be integration. The question is whether the profit came from genuine market risk or from moving money between linked accounts.
